Objectives

The general objective of the dialogue session is to provide policy direction and action to address key issues on land use and transport planning in highly urbanized cities in the Philippines. This will be achieved through the following specific objectives:

  1. To bring together technical experts, practitioners, and decision-makers to discuss and share insights on the current situation of land use and transport planning in highly urbanized cities in the Philippines.

  2. To explore sustainable solutions to the challenges brought by fragmented land use and transport planning and identify key policies and strategies that can promote equitable and inclusive urban development.

  3. To identify and discuss local and international best practices on integrated land use and transport planning.

  4. To encourage cross-sector collaboration and partnerships to address complex issues on integrating land use and transport planning in the country.

  5. The above-mentioned objectives will also serve as a guide for the dialogue and guide questions for the panelists and reactors.
